This section exists because no other Abu Dhabi moving company explains it clearly — and it is the most common source of move-day delays, extra costs, and failed access in the emirate.

Tenancy Registration
What is Tawtheeq and Why Does It Matter for Your Move?
Tawtheeq is Abu Dhabi's official tenancy contract registration system — the equivalent of Dubai's Ejari. It is not simply a tenancy agreement between you and your landlord. It is a government-verified document that legally confirms your residence at the property.
Without a valid, registered Tawtheeq, community management will not process your move-out NOC. This means your movers cannot access the service elevator or loading bay. If your Tawtheeq has expired and you have not renewed it — even if your actual tenancy is current — this blocks the entire process.
What to do: Verify your Tawtheeq is current and registered at least two weeks before your move date. If it has expired, initiate renewal through your landlord or the Abu Dhabi Municipality's TAMM portal immediately. Do not wait until the week of the move.

NOC Process
Community Move-In and Move-Out NOCs
Once your Tawtheeq is confirmed valid and your ADDC bills are cleared, you apply to your building's community management company for a Move-Out NOC at your current address and a Move-In permit at your new address.
For Aldar-managed communities — Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, Al Raha Beach, Al Reem Island, Al Reef — the application goes through Aldar's community management or the Provis and Khidmah portals. You submit your Tawtheeq, Emirates ID, and in some cases your landlord's NOC or clearance letter. The moving company's trade licence and vehicle details are also required.
Allow 3 to 5 business days for NOC processing. Submit both your move-out and move-in NOC applications simultaneously. Our coordinator initiates both applications on your behalf once your booking is confirmed.

Utilities Clearance
ADDC Clearance — The Step Most Residents Miss
Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) supplies electricity and water across Abu Dhabi. When moving out, all outstanding ADDC bills must be fully settled before your building's community management will issue a move-out NOC or permit.
This sounds straightforward. In practice, residents who have not checked their ADDC account in advance often discover outstanding charges — final bill settlements, deposit requirements, or account discrepancies — that take days to resolve.
What to do: Log into your ADDC account at least two weeks before your move and confirm that all charges are settled and the final bill process is initiated. Do not leave this to the week of the move.

Loading Bay Booking for High-Rise Moves
Most Abu Dhabi high-rise buildings designate a specific loading bay for moving trucks. These bays are booked in advance — typically 2 to 3 hour windows — and conflicts are common during month-end periods when multiple residents move simultaneously.
We contact your building management to book the loading bay at both your current and new address as part of the service. For month-end moves — particularly the last week of any month — we recommend booking your moving date at least two weeks in advance to secure the time slot you need.

Abu Dhabi's Mawaqif paid parking system applies to commercial vehicles, including moving trucks, in controlled parking zones.
